Is:

Words about words and our relationships with them. Music. Art. Not much hard politics.

When I grabbed the URL and started this blog three years ago, the idea was partially satirical and pointed at all of the ridiculous SEO crap that was blowing up the blogs (and still does). The idea was to dabble in that self-consciously and also to act as a critic for some of the nonsense in our culture spawned by an economy based on the assumption that endless growth/expansion is good, desirable, and possible.

It’s still a good idea for a blog, but not one I am or was motivated to write, as my infrequent posts demonstrate.

So now MBF is the cloud home for the contents of my head, or at least those contents I have the temerity to believe may be of interest to someone else—a fairly thin slice of the nonsense therein. I don’t like the name, but the URL is half-funny and the blog was set up, so here it remains. Justifying the URL, I’ll say that the important element in more, better, faster is the meat in that string of superlatives: better. In the scattered majesty I hope to spew here, there may be some documentation of my search for better and its approximate coordinates. As far as more and faster are concerned, let more modify better and I’ll appreciate that at any speed.

Was:

More Better Faster! is a chronicle of the possibly ridiculous American drive to get more out of life, to do better every next minute, and to do it all faster, so we’ll have more free time to do less and not succumb to the stress of trying to be better all the time.
